Lunchtime Supervisor

NJC Grade C2
Full Time Equivalent: £20,441 (Actual Salary:  £2896.83)

This is a temporary position to cover a long-term sickness absence

We are a Good school (Ofsted, 2021) administered through the Diocese of Peterborough Education Trust (PDET), providing high quality education for the children of Mears Ashby and Hardwick as well as families from further afield who are looking for a Church of England or small school environment for their child. We are currently seeking a caring, and responsible Lunchtime supervisor, who is eager to provide monitor, care for and assist pupils during the lunchtime period.

We are seeking someone who:

  • Is approachable, patient and adaptable to support the individual needs of each child;
  • Is passionate about their role in facilitating children’s wellbeing and contribution to our whole school community;
  • Can work in collaboration with the whole staffing team, with effective communication;
  • Can provide a safe environment for children, to assist across the lunchtime period, including problem solving of wet weather provisions and dealing with first aid incidents;
  • Is keen to support the ethos of a Church school.

Teacher Assistant 1:1(Level 2)

Salary: NJC D3-4 £20,812 - £21,189 FTE (£14,157.15 - £14,413.60 Actual)
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year

We are looking to appoint a committed individual to support one of our SEN students.  The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of SEN provision, excellent communication skills and a willingness to develop and to lead by positive example. Applicants must be enthusiastic and positive individuals who enjoy working with children and are committed to working as part of an energetic and friendly staff team. 

The ideal candidate will be someone who has:

  • Previous experience of working with and supporting children of relevant age in a school environment.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to work constructively as part of a supportive team.
  • Good Literacy and Numeracy skills.
  • Ability to build successful working relationships with both children, staff and parents.
  • Personal commitment to on-going professional development.
