Mears Ashby CE Primary School is committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for young learners. Welcoming children from the age of three- the pre-school year before starting reception is a great way to help them develop a love for learning early on. 

Settling-in sessions allow children to get used to their new environment gradually, while stay-and-play sessions give parents a chance to engage with the process and see how their child is adapting. A phased start helps by easing the transition, which can be less overwhelming for both children and their families.

Our pre-school and reception children share an engaging, well-resourced classroom with open spaces which is crucial for fostering exploration and creativity.
