We teach a values-led curriculum that has been agreed with pupils, staff, parents and governors.
In May 2019 we agreed our theologically rooted school vision, which is:
Jesus said “I have come that they may have life, and have life in all its fullness.” (John 10:10)
The theological underpinning of our six school values are as follows:
- Courage - 1 Corinthians 15.58 - Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
- Love - Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
- Friendship - Colossians 3:13 May I be patient with my friends, and may I forgive freely like you have forgiven me. May I shine your light in my friendships, giving glory to you through all that I do, say, and think. Thank you for my friends, Jesus. Thank you for the ways they build me up and remind me of your goodness and faithfulness.
- Compassion - Psalms 119:77 Let your compassion come to me that I may live, for your law is my delight.
- Trust - Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
- Perseverance - James 5:11 As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
