The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)

Safeguarding across professional partners in Northamptonshire is co-ordinated by the Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Partnership. We operate in liaison with them to ensure vital information about the safeguarding of children is shared effectively. The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub is a triage and advice hub for members of the public as well as professionals to share concerns about the welfare and safety of children in the county.

To contact the MASH:

  • The duty number is 0300 1261000 or email (secure email address)
  • To make a referral to MASH please use the multi-agency: Referral Form

For more information about safeguarding in Northamptonshire, please look at the North Northamptonshire Council's Safeguarding pages website.

If you have safeguarding concerns about the conduct of a member of staff, these should be referred to the Principal or Chair of Governors. You can also contact the Designated Officer (LADO) to report concerns about a member of staff Designated Officer (formerly LADO) - Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Board (northamptonshirescb.org.uk)

Members of staff with a concern about a colleague can follow the Whistleblowing Policy (on our Policies page) or report concerns to Miss R Green. If concerns are about Miss R Green they should be reported to the Chair of Governors, via the school office.

Early Help

At Mears Ashby Primary School, we are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children. There are various support measures in place to help families access the right assistance as early as possible, preventing concerns from escalating. Early Help can involve support with parenting, mental health, school attendance, family relationships, and other challenges that may affect a child's wellbeing. It brings together different services, such as schools, health professionals, and local support teams, to offer practical advice and guidance.

If you feel your family could benefit from early support, you can reach out to your midwife, your child’s health visitor, a local children’s centre, or their school. You can also request an Early Help Assessment (EHA) by contacting our helpdesk at .

Miss Green is also available to support you through the Early Help Assessment process. If you would like more information, please feel free to ask.
